Community Care

Programs for Positive Change

When it comes to providing assistance and compassion to those who need it most, NIC graduates are there, ready to support their communities and inspire positive change.

AT NIC, you'll develop the knowledge and skills to effectively communicate and help those in need. Students participate in supportive discussion groups, lectures, field trips, and workplace practicums, such as those discussed in our Early Childhood Care and Education program video, shown below.

With NIC's Community Care programs, you'll learn how to contribute to building stronger, healthier communities and gain the confidence, knowledge, and skills you'll need to start working.

“There's such a huge need for ECCE practitioners, most of my classmates stepped straight into jobs after graduating. I decided to further my education in Child and Youth Care; this program gave me a great knowledge base to take with me to UVic.”
