Three-year advanced diploma
Career possibilities: Qualify for employment as a graphic designer, web developer, web consultant, multimedia project coordinator, e-commerce designer, web and mobile applications developer or mobile prototyper.
The advanced diploma program builds on the Communication Design diploma. The first two years follow the highlights outlined in those programs.
During the third year, you will complete your training with the remaining Interactive Media courses, including mobile application development, ensuring you develop a comprehensive knowledge of interactive media. Upon completion, you will be eligible for membership with the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada, the professional body for communication design.
With a strong combination of design and programming abilities, you will be able to adapt rapidly to the changing industry and will be qualified to manage a high level of client communication needs—whether in print, online, or mobile.
In today's job market, countless industries require a combination of technical and design expertise. As an Advanced Communication and Interactive Design graduate, you will qualify for a range of professions such as graphic and web design, mobile application development, advertising and publishing, e-commerce, game and multimedia production and design. Career positions may include, but would not be limited to, those listed under the two-year Communication Design diploma, plus graphic designer for print and interactive media, web developer, web consultant, business owner and operator, book and editorial designer, e-commerce site designer and mobile application developer.
