NIC's interactive media programs provide you with the skills you need today and in the future. Part-time study is available but, because technology changes rapidly, you are encouraged to complete your studies as quickly as you can.
The web design certificate is the technical foundation for NIC's interactive media web programs and introduces you to the design of web applications. The program is suited to anyone exploring a career in web design and web applications, whether you are a high school graduate or seeking a second/alternate career.
You will graduate with fundamental knowledge in design for print and web, programming, social media marketing and typography. With accompanying courses in effective organizational writing, basic marketing principles, entrepreneurship and small business management.
Graduates qualify for a wide variety of entry-level, front-end web design positions. You may also choose to keep studying toward NIC's Mobile Application Development certificate or Web and Mobile Application Development diploma.
You are required to have sufficient hardware and software for completing coursework. Please review the supply list document for a complete description of technical requirements.
